Join Slipaway this Summer for ‘Makers Monday’ Event Series

Slipaway seating area ready for Paint & Sip event with tables with 4 easels and black tablecloths.

Slipaway Food Truck Park & Marina is inviting the community to tap into their creative side with its Makers Monday events, a weekly arts and crafts series held every Monday at 6 p.m. under The Helm. The series kicked off in July and continue through September.

The Makers Monday series will feature a rotation of hands-on creative workshops led by local artists. Sessions are designed for participants of all skill levels and will provide the opportunity to learn in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time, experimenting with jewelry making, learning collage techniques or exploring a new craft, you’ll leave with a finished piece and a memorable experience.

Participants can register for upcoming classes at SlipawayCape.com/MakersMonday. Advance registration and payment are required, and tickets are nonrefundable. Workshops will take place under the cover of Slipaway’s main bar pavilion, The Helm, so classes will be held rain or shine.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy dinner from one of Slipaway’s 10 resident food trucks and indulge in additional beverages from the venue’s full-service bar.

Visitors are welcome to arrive by boat and tie up at one of the venue’s 26 docks or arrive by car and park onsite for free.

Slipaway is currently seeking local artists interested in leading workshops in August and September. Instructors must be able to accommodate 25 to 75 participants and provide all required materials.
